This Citizen Insider is about Amanda Brandt, her fight against Colorectal Cancer, & her inspiring work ethic.
Amanda has worked at Lanier Parking, as an Office Assistant, for 3 years, and intends to fulfill her position regardless of her diagnoses of Colorectal Cancer. Amanda has already undergone one round of chemotherapy this year while maintaining her role at Lanier Parking. Amanda will have to undergo more surgery & chemotherapy in the next year, but that hasn't stopped her, "I still have a very long road ahead of me & I have continued to work through my first round of chemo & radiation. I'm not one to miss work unless I absolutely have to."
Amanda and her sense of humor are right at home at Lanier Parking. The comradery is her favorite part of the job, "I like coming to work and feeling like I'm working with my family. We joke around but still get the job done. It's nice to be in an atmosphere that's not stuffy."
Paul Krogseng, Senior Project Manager, Rochester MN, believes that Amanda is essential to the operation, "Many times, Amanda has been integral in covering for other employees when they need their extended time off, stepping up and learning new skills to ensure that all duties are covered while someone is gone and when we need help. We are ready to do everything we can to support her until she comes back to us, full strength!"
Amanda has great qualities that contribute to her inspiring work ethic, "I am reliable, efficient, direct, and I have a good sense of humor that keeps everyone on their toes and laughing!"
When she isn't inspiring others with a quick joke she is usually riding motorcycles, spending time with her "fur kids", a Chihuahua named Komere (pronounced come-here) and a cat name Shiloh, spending time with her family, going to live music, bonfires, and grilling out.
Amanda, thank you for everything you do for Citizens Lanier Holdings. #BeyondParking
