This week’s Citizens Insider is about Ben Steffen, Lanier’s Territory Manager spearheading the new paid parking program in Macon-Bibb County. Ben joined the Lanier team just two months ago—an opportunity he describes as “too good to pass up.†Lanier approached Ben with an offer to leave a larger city, and return to his roots of smaller parking operations with a phenomenal client. A true go-getter, Ben is passionate about expanding small markets, particularly cities with downtown revitalization projects, such as Macon.
With nearly a decade of experience in parking management, Ben says he has gained an appreciation for the “chaos management†aspect of the parking industry. His key to success in parking management lies in his ability to listen to people: “While I cannot always give them what they want, I can make them feel heard and understood.†Chris Goodson, Regional Manager, describes Ben’s expertise as an invaluable component in the implementation of Macon’s paid parking program. “When working with Ben, it’s very clear that he is not only passionate about what he does, but incredibly talented, as well. A true professional—we are thrilled to have Ben on our team.â€
In his free time, Ben enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. Ben and his family recently relocated to Macon after living in Kentucky for nearly their entire lives. They are learning all about their new home in Georgia and how to take advantage of all it has to offer, from hiking, biking, and kayaking in the mountains to swimming and watersports at the beach.
Thank you, Ben, for your dedication to Lanier and Citizens Lanier Holdings! #CitizensInsider
